We work closely with clients, and with their financial advisors, to provide the independent, objective, valuation expertise they require for FASB 141/142/144 reporting and deserve.

In the course of an appraisal engagement, our appraisers, through their research, will become thoroughly knowledgeable about the client’s business from both an operational and financial perspective. Using all available financial tools, our appraisers will analyze the company’s historical financials in order to arrive at a proper business profile of the key financial indicators of the business. The appropriate valuation approach will be employed to obtain the current value. For Fair Value appraisals, under FASB 157, a market approach will be considered first. If not suitable for the assignment, we will utilize an income and/or cost approach to value.

Only after consideration of quantitative and qualitative measures, such as the value of tangible and intangible assets, cash flow forecasts, and operating ratios of a company, segment, subsidiary or division can an objective determination of the total value. When contemplating corporate initiatives such as acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and restructurings, the utility of knowing the value or contingent ranges of value of a company, a segment or a subsidiary, is critical to the success of the initiative.
